Kayany to formally open school with Nobel Prize Winner
July 2015 | During my first couple months on the job, I had sent an exchange of emails to Malala Yousafzai’s staff at the Malala Fund. I didn’t expect that less than a year later, I would be sharing a birthday dinner with the Nobel Prize winner herself after opening up a school for girls earlier in the day. This project left a significant impact on me, and helped propel Kayany into a leader of non-formal school construction and operations in informal settlements.
